I started raising Charolais cattle back in 1999. I purchased my first two cows from Noller and Frank Charolais in the spring of 1999. That same year they were named The Seedstock Producer of the Year by the American International Charolais Association. They worked hard to earn that recognition and I ended up buying a couple more cows from them because they were such a good family to do business with. A year before I bought those purebred cows I fed a group of Charolais cross calves out for a 4-H project. They did so well for me that year I knew I wanted to start raising Charolais cattle. In the Fall of 2002 I purchased five head of heifers from the Lindskov-Thiel herd. Brent Thiel and Les Lindskov were so good to me and Brent has been such an influence on what we do here in our cattle herd. In 2005 I bought a group of 15 heifers from the L-T Ranch. Our herd has grown in the past six years from these groups of cattle. One thing has stayed the same here at Beavers Charolais and that is the quality and not quantity. In June 2008 I married my best friend Tina and together we want to continue raising this wonderful breed of cattle we love so much.
